Hawawshy

Ingredients :

  • Dough:
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of baker's yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 250 ml of hot milk
  • 125 ml of natural yogurt
  • 130 ml of oil
  • Stuff:
  • 1 kg of minced meat
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon of paprika
  • 2 crushed tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 tomatoes, crushed

Preparation :

  • Dough:
  • Mix all the ingredients and knead them for a few minutes.
  • Let the dough sit for an hour and a half
  • Stuff:
  • Heat the oil over medium heat in a pan.
  • Fry the onion for 1 minute.
  • Add the minced meat and the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, mixing regularly.
  • Shaping:
  • Form 12 balls.
  • Roll out each ball and put the stuffing in it, close and flatten them a little.
  • Brush them and cook them at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.
