Khobz Tounes

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of ground hazelnuts
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 baking powder
  • Syrup:
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 lemon slice
  • 1 cup of flower water

Preparation :

  • Start preparing the syrup;
  • Melt the sugar in water, adding a lemon slice.
  • Bring it to a boil for a minute, remove from the heat, add the flower water.
  • 2. Cake:
  • Mix the eggs, sugar and butter (cooled)
  • 3- Add the ground hazelnuts and mix
  • 4- Add the breadcrumbs and baking powder and mix.
  • 5- Oil the baking dish, put the mixture and bake at 180 ° for 15 to 20 minutes
  • 6- After cooking, soak it with the syrup and let it cool to serve.
