Kolach

Ingredients :

  • 500g of flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 60g sugar
  • 5 g of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of baker's yeast
  • 200 ml of hot milk
  • 80 ml of lukewarm water
  • 120 g butter
  • Jam for garnish
  • 1 egg for the gilding

Preparation :

  • Mix the flour, sugar, salt, egg yolk, baking powder and water.
  • Knead for 2 to 3 minutes, then add the butter and knead for 8 minutes.
  • Cover it and leave it for an hour to an hour and a half.
  • Degass the dough and form 60 gram balls and let rise, then make a small hole in the middle and decorate with jam.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 200 ° C.
